About Me

Hello, everyone! I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Education (K-8) from Washington State University and I have begun my Master of Educational Technology degree at Boise State University, in wonderful Boise, Idaho! I am a retired Army Officer and love that I have the ability to spend my spare time with my boys! We love to explore the outdoors, travel and just have fun as a family.

I am working towards earning a Master of Educational Technology degree by December 2017.  Although I hold a teaching degree and could become a certified classroom teacher,  18 years in the military has not been kind to me. I recently worked as a paraprofessional in an Extended Resource Room and discovered that it is very difficult for me to keep up with the fun and excited, elementary school children.  With this degree, I will gain more education and experience that I can use to perform the teaching profession in an online classroom environment.

  1. It take a special kind of person to para and/or teach in an ERR room. Even if it’s only for a little bit of time! Do you have a preference of what grades/subjects you want to teach online.

    1. Hello, yes it does take a lot of patience and kleenexes! I hope to teach Mathematics to middle school or high school students. At least for the start, I hope to gauge what would work best/ how to be a success at online teaching. I have always loved Math, which makes my husband and I opposites; he does poorly with Math.
